New Stimulus Bill: Benefit for Donors? Lifeline for Struggling Nonprofits?
The new Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (CAA), extends and expands the benefits offered in the CARES Act. Among the new benefits, the CAA allows for a charitable deduction of up to $600 for couples filing jointly on their 2021 federal income tax return and extends the temporary enhanced deduction limits for itemizing individuals and corporations on their qualified charitable contributions through 2021.
