Katherine Tanham

Officer, Corporate Donor Services

I am Katherine Tanham, an Officer with the Corporate Donor Services Team.  I support a variety of donor programs, including corporate and foundation relationships, and I work with private donors who also maintain donor-advised funds with CAF America.  In addition to facilitating successful grant-making to organizations around the world on behalf of these donor clients, I participate with several staff initiatives, including the Volunteer Working Group and the Safety Working Group.  And I hold a certification in Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CFT) by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Since I joined CAF America in 1998, CAF America has steadily increased its range of successful grant-making services, as well as its expansive philanthropic reach around the world.  It is inspiring to listen to donors share details of the programs and organizations about which they are passionate, and equally, it is humbling to learn more about the grantee programs that realize support from CAF America.

Prior to arriving at CAF America, I worked as a field executive for the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council, responsible for membership services, leadership training, and program delivery across a six county area in western Virginia.  And I graduated from Guilford College with a B.S. in Psychology.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, especially a good road trip, Southern cooking, and visiting with family and friends.
