Senior Director of External Affairs
I am Emily Pingleton, the Senior Director of External Affairs. I support and grow CAF America’s global network of charitable partners, manage the disaster response and expedited grantmaking programs, and monitor foreign funding laws to ensure regulatory compliance, among other strategic initiatives. Since 2017, I have served in a variety of roles with CAF America including with the Grant Services and Thought Leadership and Communications teams.
Prior to joining CAF America, I held a variety of internships including with the U.S. House of Representatives, Franklin Templeton Investments, and CAF America.
I also spent time volunteering in Nicaragua where I taught algebra lessons to local students and supported staff at a home for disabled and special needs children. Additionally, I volunteered at a refugee home for women and children in Italy, where I taught English lessons and organized cultural activities. My experience working directly in underserved communities has inspired me to continuously strive to have a positive impact on the world.
In my spare time, I am an avid traveler, an above average flag football player, and a karaoke enthusiast.
I hold a MSc. in International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc. in Political Science and International Affairs from Florida State University.
