Africa & Middle East Advisor Network Coordinator

Carol is a development practitioner dedicated to working with institutions that channel sustainable resources towards the world’s most pressing problems, especially on the African continent.

South African born and raised, Carol has over 15 years experience in philanthropy, CSR, impact investment, non-profit management, and fundraising. Through her work with non-profits, international development agencies and multi-national corporations, she has established a far reaching network across the globe.

She was on the founding team that established the Impact Exchange (iX), the world’s first publicly regulated Social Stock Exchange through a trading board on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. She was also on the founding and management team of the GreaterGood South Africa Group, which specialized in online giving as well as in advising corporations and development agencies on their socio-economic development strategies to specifically meet compliance requirements.

Over the years, Carol also spent significant time designing and implementing impact measurement tools and frameworks.  Between 2008 and 2010, she was a member of the working group that designed the Non Profit supplement for the Global Reporting Initiative’s G3 sustainability reporting framework.

Carol has held several board positions over the years, including as a committee member and advisor to the Deutsche Bank Africa Foundation and the Cadiz Foundation, a Trustee of the Impact Trust, the Broking for Good Foundation, and the GreaterGood South Africa Trust, and a Director of both GreaterCapital Consulting and Nexii.
