Ashly Bloxon

Officer, Program Services

My name is Ashly, I am a member of the CAF Canada projects team. In my role, I focus on assisting our project partners as well as help provide guidance to Canadians interested in funding projects around the globe. Before joining CAF Canada, I lived and worked for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in East Africa assisting a small village in Comoros with environmental protection initiatives, literacy projects and youth empowerment, education and career development workshops. Prior to the Peace Corps, I worked in project management where I served as liaison between the donor, development organizations and project administrators and oversaw the coordination of program activities.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Masters degree in Peace Studies (focusing on Conflict Resolution in the global arena). I also worked for several years as a grant writer for domestic and international non-profits, civil society organizations and small businesses.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling or reading a good book. I am also a language enthusiast and have been involved with a number of language preservation projects including Wikitongues.
