Emily graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a B.S. in Political Science and International Affairs, concentrating in Economics, and a minor in Italian Language. Prior to join the CAF America team, Emily spent time volunteering in Nicaragua, where she taught algebra lessons to local students and supported staff at a home for disabled and special needs children. Additionally, she volunteered at a refugee home for women and children in Italy, where she taught English lessons and organized cultural activities. Emily has held a variety of internships ranging from the U.S. House of Representatives, Franklin Templeton Investments, and most recently with CAF America as the Programs and Strategic Initiatives Intern.
What inspires me to do what I do
Working directly in underserved communities in Nicaragua, Italy, and even in my local community has inspired me to continuously work to make a positive impact on the world.
