CAF America President & CEO Visiting Grantees in Switzerland, Czechia, Poland, Türkiye

November 10, 2022
Ted Hart meeting with members of partners in Poland

CAF America President and CEO Ted Hart is embarking on a multi-week trip to four cities across Europe. Ted will travel to Geneva, Switzerland; Prague, Czechia; Warsaw, Poland; and Istanbul, Türkiye. During this trip, Ted will meet with a number of CAF America’s most prominent donor clients, charities, and global partners in the region.

On November 14, Ted will be in Warsaw to host one of our signature “Together Gathering” events with local grantees and partners. The event will bring together key stakeholders from Poland and Ukraine, including over forty representatives from local foundations, humanitarian organizations, and international charities. Throughout the event, these representatives will be able to share their experiences and knowledge, with the ultimate goal of fostering relationships that create local change on a global scale.

While in Warsaw, Ted will also be meeting with several international grantees involved in delivering humanitarian relief and long-term assistance for Ukrainian refugees, including the Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM), the largest educational program for Ukrainian refugees in Poland, as well as the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews and Polish Humanitarian Action. Ted will have the opportunity to speak with both program advisors and recipients, who will provide firsthand knowledge on the current state of the crisis. CAF America hopes to evaluate recent response efforts and identify challenges that grantees anticipate as war in Ukraine continues into the winter months.

CAF America looks forward to meeting with some of the many international grantees in this region of our charitable network. We are committed to serving as a resource for our clients and partners in the philanthropic sector, and anticipate many learnings from this trip that will benefit us all in the months to come.
