Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Establishing a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) with CAFAmerica is a convenient and simple way for all types of US donors, from individuals to private foundations to corporations, to tax effectively support and manage global philanthropic initiatives and programs. The DAF is designed to support ongoing, high volume philanthropic programs which require fund management services.
Matching Donor Advised Fund (MDAF)
Designed to support corporate international programs, the CAFAmerica Matching Donor Advised Fund (MDAF) provides the flexibility to manage an international matched giving program of any type or size. It simultaneously ensures that employees are empowered to invest in the philanthropic causes closest to them with the confidence of full support from their employer, and strengthens a company’s image. By establishing a MDAF at CAFAmerica, corporations can tax-effectively support the international philanthropic goals of their employees, matching employee contributions and/or volunteer time.
Single Donor Advised Gift
Single gifts are the perfect solution for US donors who want to give globally without establishing a Fund at CAFAmerica. Single gifts allow individual and foundation donors to make a smaller number of grants, on a schedule or as desired; are a compliment to services provided by professional advisors; and are a resource for companies to support a variety of causes. Donors can make tax effective single contributions to CAFAmerica and recommend that grants be made to foreign nonprofits. CAFAmerica can also recommend a nonprofit that fits a donor’s interests and philanthropic goals.
Research and Advisory Services
CAFAmerica provides expert advice and analysis about foreign nonprofits, societal/regional issues, and global giving strategies. Not only does the Fund save nonprofits money, it also eliminates the time and trouble of establishing and administering a public charity in the United States. With a ‘Friends of’ Charity Fund at CAFAmerica, foreign nonprofits can launch and maintain a US fundraising appeal and accept tax-deductible donations of any size from US donors.
The CAF American Donor Fund
Trading as Southampton Row Trust Ltd., the CAF American Donor Fund allows US citizens living in the United Kingdom to receive tax benefits in both countries for their international contributions.
Planned Giving
Leave a legacy of philanthropy by planning your giving now. CAFAmerica can be named as the recipient of a bequest, charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust with suggestions for grants to be made to foreign nonprofits.
Tangible Gifts
In addition to accepting cash and stock, CAFAmerica partners with other US public charities to help donors liquidate high value tangible gifts such as artwork, property, or any other illiquid asset, and grant the proceeds to a foreign nonprofit of a donor’s choice.
